Vieux Chateau Gaubert, Graves 2010

2 in stock

Dominque Haverlan - a third-generation winemaker - purchased Vieux Château Gaubert in 1981. He has considerable experience of winemaking in the Graves area.

The wine is a blend of equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, aged for 12 months in 40% new oak following fermentation.

On the nose ripe dark fruits dominate. The palate is ripe and juicy with blackcurrant, cedar, coffee bean and a touch of vanilla and spice. Soft, ripe tannins frame this concentrated wine nicely on a mid-long finish.
