Located in Salento in southern Puglia, Mocavero was established in the 1950s. The estate is spread over 62Ha.
This bottling is 100% Negroamaro.
Following fermentation the wine is refined in barriques for 3-4 months prior to filtering and bottling.
Deep red colour with hints of violet at the rim. A nose of cassis, spice and ripe red berry fruits.
A rich palette of kirsch and plum is balanced with fine tannin and nice acidity.
Good value, everyday drinking.
Pair with roasted meats, pasta dishes with ragu, mature hard cheeses.
