Clos de La Fortune is one of the most exceptional sites in the village of Bouzeron and all owned by Chanzy. Planted in 1963 on quite a steep, south facing slope, it is planted 100% with Aligoté. As a specialist in Aligote, this was a highlight from Chanzy's line-up. A serious wine, demonstrating fantastic balance and typicity of the Aligote variety. Warm and toasty with lemon and pineapple, green apple and a touch of ginger. Concentrated and and well-structured with some flinty minerality. 1/3 unoaked. This is offering pleasure now but has the stuffing to live for decades.
