Klaus Lenstch has carved out a reputation in the Alto Adige as one of the regions best small grower estates. He began producing in 2008 and has promoted and championed the lesser known varieties of this northerly region. This Lagrein is no exception. With vineyards planted as high as 600m and a wealth of volcanic soil in his vineyards, the wines produced are rich in acidity and minerality. The wine itself is ruby red with spicy aromas and a palate of cocoa, tobacco and black cherry.
