100% Tempranillo using organic fruit from DO Vino de la Tierra de Castilla.
Bodegas Tinedo is the Alvarez-Arenas’ family estate. The estate is made up of 49 hectares of vineyards in the heart of La Mancha. It has been dedicated to the production of wine in a traditional way for generations. Wine has been made here since 1742.
The current generation are practicing a sustainable viticulture that excludes the use of herbicides and synthetic products. Their respect the vineyard is demonstrated by using grape marc for the production of natural compost to fertilize, for example.
Fermentation takes place in tanks with temperature control at 22ºC. 5 days of cold maceration and 14 days of alcoholic maceration. A further maceration after fermentation of 7 days. Malolactic fermentation in steel tanks (20.000 l).
Visually, a pleasing purple cherry tone in class. The nose delivers black cherry, spice and licorice. The palette is fresh, balanced fruit forward with notes of spice.
