The estate comprises 20 hectares of land (16Ha under vine) in the Gaiole region in Chianti, Siena.
Previously owned by Raffaele Rossetti who purchased the 16th century farmhouse, production at the winery began in 1974 and the first Chianti was released in 1975. Various improvements have ensured that this is a very modern winemaking facility.
This Chianti is made from Sangiovese grapes that are macerated with their skins for 18-20 days, and following fermentation are aged in Austrian oak barrels for 18 months.
Clear ruby red with garnet rim. On the nose intense red fruit aromas such as cherry, and black berry fruit. A modern styled Chianti - balanced with an intense palate, sweet tannins and a long lasting finish.
