13 in stock

Chateau Pigoudet in its current state has been largely the same sine the early 1800s, located in an area with a wine growing tradition since Roman times. It has been owned and managed for the last 25 years by the Schmidt / Rabe family.

Located in the north of Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence in the shadow of the Sainte-Victoire massif, there are 40 hectares of vines, facing south at 400 meters above sea level. In the vineyard a sustainable approach has been adopted for the last 30 years.

A cold pre-fermentation maceration of one week to ten days is followed by fermentation in stainless steel.

Fruit aromas reminiscent of cherries, plums, elderberries, blackberries and raspberries dominate the nose. On the palate, the Chateau Pigoudet La Chapelle Rouge is warm, spicy, soft, mineral with a lot of berry fruit and a delicately spicy finish.
