Alexandre Jouveaux Combarnier, Burgundy, Vin de France

5 in stock

Alexandre has gone the very seldom-trodden route from fashion photographer to winemaker and over the last 20 years has made such a name for himself that his wines are being snapped (sorry) up almost as soon as they hit the shelves.

These are low sulphur wines made in tiny quantities from a range of micro-parcels he has near the village of Uchizny in the Macon. The juice is pressed directly into foudres where it rests on the lees until bottled via gravity.

Alexandre produces just a few thousand bottles of these vibrantly mineral wines each year so get one while you can and stick in the cellar for a few years. The 2020 is good now but will be a great wine with a couple of years in the cellar.
