Luis has been crafting Riberio wines since 1988, championing native grapes to produce distinctive age-worthy wines. A native of Arnois , he studied enology and philosophy in Madrid, toured Europe's top wine regions, and served as president of the Riberio DO.

 Working from his family adega, Vine de Martin, Luis manages just under 6 hectares across nearly 200 micro-plots, growing native varieties such as Treixadura, Lado, Ferrol, Caino and Brancello. His careful, Low intervention approach has helped revive Ribeiro's tinto tradition earning acclaim acorss the Iberian Penisula.

50% Brancellao, 25% Caino and 25% Ferrol from 10 to 20 year old vines grown on steep south facing hillsides located in the town of Arnoia.

Hand-harvested and destemmed with spontaneous fermentation occuring in stainless steel. Aged in 300L used french oak for 12 months. Then aged for another year in bottle.

Lovely wild strawberry nose, truly expressive. Beautifully deliniated red fruit supported by stone, herb and meat. For fans of Pinot Noir looking for something wild and new!
