Marche based winery Villa Malacari has a long history reaching back to the 1600s.
The Rosso Conero is composed of 100% Montepulciano.
They employ sustainable methods, using only natural herbicides and pesticides in the vineyard and hand harvesting to ensure the quality of the grapes. Fermentation takes place with natural yeasts and the wines are bottled without filtration.
The nose is an inviting combination of black cherry, spice and garrigue. On the rich, full palette black berry fruits dominate alongside notes of currant, plum, cedar and turned earth. The finish is lingering framed by warm spices.
Pair with roasted meats, stews, beef ragu, grilled steak.
