Domaine Taupenot-Merme La Combe d'Orveau, Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru 2013

The family is now in their 8th generation of winemaking in Morey Saint Denis, Burgundy. Romain Taupenot and his sister Virginie currently manage operations, with a growing reputation as each vintage is released.

The domaine consists of 13Ha over twenty appellations across Côte de Beaune and the Côte de Nuits.

There is a philosophy of minimal intervention in the vineyard and winery, with wines organically cultivated. Use of oak is modest to ensure the fruit shines through.

La Combe d’Orveau neighbours the renowned Musigny vineyard, a reflection of this wines quality.

The 2013 vintage was difficult in Burgundy, but this wine demonstrates the domaine's skill with this standout bottle.

Aromatic, with a nose of fresh raspberry, cranberry. The palate is juicy and fleshy, with notes of earth, undergrowth and spice. A reflection of the domaine's focus on quality fruit.
