Domaine Jean Perrier, Pinot Noir, Savoie 2019

Founded in 1853, the family are now into their 7th generation of winemaking in the Savoie.

Pinot Noir vines are grown on granite and clay limestone soils with south-east exposition. Sustainable methods are employed in the vineyards.

After manual harvest, a gentle pressing, then fermentation for 5-7 days in stainless steel vats.

Ageing in stainless steel tanks for 4 months prior to bottling. No oak influence on this wine leading to great purity of the Pinot fruit.

The wine reveals a delicate nose with aromas of red fruits, blackberry and a cherry core. It also evokes subtle bay scents. On the palette, a lively acidity with nicely balanced fine and spicy tannins. Soft, textural finish of red fruits and crushed fresh herbs.

Drink now.

Pair with Savoie cheeses, charcuterie, roast chicken.
