Second generation vigneron, Juliette Joblot runs the family's 13.5 hectares, where they are regarded as one of the top estates in Givry, a village situated west of Chalon-sur-Saone, and in the heart of the Cote Chalonnaise. With nine hectares of premier cru vineyards, including Clos de la Servoisine and Clos du Cellier aux Moines, these are some of the best parcels in the appellation.
Quality is critical for Juliette and she has been known to reject large percentages of harvested grapes if she feels they are not up to standard. The domaine is practicing (not certified) organic and biodynamic.
Of interest too, the domaine pick for acidity rather than ripeness.
On the nose fresh and bright with intense aromas of strawberry, cherry and herbal tones.
The palette is powerful and elegant with velvety tannins and lovely balance through to a fine finish, very long and complete.
Pair with game dishes or oily fish.
Suitable for vegetarians.
