The Moueix family established their négociant business in 1937, and later purchased select chateau within Saint-Emilion, Pomerol and beyond. Today this large wine business is overseen by Christian (Château Pétrus, and named “Man of the Year” by Decanter magazine in 2008) and Edouard Moueix.
Much of the fruit for this cuvee comes from the Moueix family’s own estate. The 2015 vintage is composed of 85% Merlot - 15% Cabernet Franc
On the nose the wine offers expressive aromas of blackberries and black cherries with a deep smokiness. The palate is ripe and supple with precise, well-integrated tannins.
