Established in 1976, husband and wife Jean-Marie Guffens and Maine Heynen embarked upon creating their domaine with no previous experience. Viticulture studies followed and then the purchase of a small number of plots in the Maconnais. Purchase of grapes as a négociant during the 1990's onwards allowed them to make wines from over a wider area of Burgundy.
Very low yields, and a lot of precision in the cellar produce wines with a good reputation.
Harmonious, creamy with good acidity. A riper style of Chardonnay offering some fat on the palette, though nicely balanced through.
Pair with pork dishes, roast chicken, mushrooms.
