A 44Ha property located in the commune of Listrac which is situated in the Central Medoc area of the left bank. In 1970 the late Guy Pagès bought the château and undertook a major renovations. His son, Patrice Pagès, took over in 1985.
Soils are a mixture of gravel, clay and limestone – with an 80% ratio of Pyrenean gravel. Vineyards are planted 49% Merlot, 49% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Petit Verdot.
Control of the fermentation temperature is very precise with the use of thermo-regulation systems, which help preserve the fruit and freshness. Wines are aged for 12 months in barrel (33% new oak).
Classic Claret with intense black fruits and menthol on the nose. Firm tannins frame a ripe smooth palette with hints of cedar and toast.
