Torre de Barreda, Graciano, Castilla, 2018

3 in stock

The Barreda family have been making wine since the 18th Century in the town of Corral de Almaguer, 110km south east of Madrid. The winery was built in 1945 by Don Manuel de la Barreda and today his grandson, Juan Manuel, is at the helm. The vineyards are situated at 700 -780m and the influence of the nearby Cuenca mountains means cooler nights and a ready supply of ground water to combat the high summer temperatures.

This is first vintage of the Graciano, and right of the bat they have produced a really very tasty red which also manages to be excellent value. Lovely strawberry fruit, tar and spice with delicious grainy tannin.
